**Opportunity**

This is an opportunity based in Edmonton, Alberta and is curated for motivated individuals that believe in a team environment. The role of Processing and Packaging Supervisor will be a part of the harvesting, drying, trimming and packaging team and report to the Operations Manager and Master Grower on a daily basis ensuring a compliant, safe operation in all aspects of plant drying, trimming as well as bulk and retail packaging aspects but not limited to all day to day facility operations.

Harvest and processing tasks include managing and recording of incoming cannabis plants at harvest and accurately record plant ID and weights, followed by daily maintenance checks and environmental monitoring throughout the drying and curing process.

Primary duties will be surrounding the oversight and logistics of inventory, final retail packaging, and packaging staff. Allocating the appropriate bulk biomass per batch to the designated final package format of dried flowers or prerolls, and accurately recording all aspects of the packaging and labelling process for goods shipping to multiple provinces and territories.

This is a full-time role.

**Job Summary**

**Specific Skills**:

- Key duties include the inventory management and execution to supervise and assist the production line in the retail unit packaging processes of dried flowers, prerolls, edibles, vapes and other adult use cannabis products
- Responsible for scheduling forecasts and persons to meet order delivery dates
- Maintain inventory of controlled products and raw materials
- Follow all facility SOP’s as trained, including but not limited to, procedures involving production, processing, packaging and destruction of cannabis.
- Duties also include handling of freshly harvested wet plants, into a slow hang dry followed by a curing process. During this period daily product and environment maintenance checks are required.
- Once curing is complete the product will be allocated to bulk packaging or retail unit packaging.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

Working closely with the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager the role of the Packaging and Processing Supervisor will be responsible for managing in all processes of product processing including:

- Lead and supervise all product processing and packaging
- Create production schedules and staff accordingly
- Monitor environmental inputs of production rooms and drying rooms
- Maintain sanitation procedures
- Assist with crop harvesting
- Consistent inventory management and compliant record keeping responsibilities, including bulk biomass, finished goods, material inputs, and shipped goods
- Working alongside QA department for processing procedures and Lot release allocation
- Maintain company standards for cost control and waste reduction
- Display safe handling and use of chemicals
- Ensure compliance with legislative policies and company SOP’s
- Ability to solve problems and recommend opportunities to improve productivity and efficiencies
- Other duties deemed essential by management and operating procedures
- Ensure cleanliness at all times
- Strong work ethic alongside the promotion of a safe and happy workplace

**Qualifications**:
**Required**
- Competencies in Canada’s Cannabis Industry Policies (Cannabis Act/ Cannabis Regulations)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Above average computer competencies (barcode software, microsoft office, elevated signals)
- Experience in food and beverage considered an asset
- Must be precise and detail focused
- Must be mathematically skilled
- Read and write English
- Ability to pass security clearance background check
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, standing, bending for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in temperature controlled rooms, with high energy lighting

**Preferred Assets**
- University degree
- Formal education in manufacturing efficiencies or project management
- Experience in food and beverage or cannabis manufacturing considered an asset

**Salary**: $46,000.00-$54,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends
