JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Processing & Packaging Supervisors will work closely with the supply chain manager, cultivation managers, and operations manager to supervise and execute day to day processing and packaging activities.

**The processing team is responsible for the following scopes of work**:

- Assisting cultivation team members with harvest.
- Preparing dried plants for curing.
- Maintaining and monitoring cannabis material during the curing process.
- Using industrial equipment to move and process cannabis material.
- Manually creating hand crafted cannabis products.
- Packaging and labelling cannabis products.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all processing equipment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing processing rooms.

**Cannabis Processing & Packaging Supervisors responsibilities**:

- Train, coach, support, and supervise processing team members.
- Coordinate production scopes of work and processing activities to ensure that quality standards are being upheld and deadlines are met.
- Assign duties to team members and schedule production line activities.
- Ensure safety procedures are being observed including correct PPE, orders of operations, and the handling of chemicals.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable regulations and legislation related to the processing of cannabis products and associated record keeping and documentation.
- Ensure equipment is in working order, requesting maintenance services as required.
- Ensures all cleaning and sanitation activities happen on time, safely, and to specification, including associated documentation.
- Verifies all production and inventory records produced by processing team members ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continual improvement model of operations by optimizing procedures and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or leadership role.

**Requirements**:

- Local to the Edmonton area or able to commute, with reliable transportation.
- Able to perform physical activities for the duration of shift (standing, walking, moving equipment, stairs) including repetitive movements (packaging, trimming etc).
- Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. (22kg)
- Comfortable squatting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as needed, including but not limited to sanitary clothing covers, gloves, mask, respirator, and/or eye protection while working.
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 prior to entering the facility.
- No cannabis experience necessary.

**Job Type**:Full-time; weekend availability preferred.

**Salary**:18-22$/hour

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
