As a crew member of Bald Eagle Landscaping, you'll play a pivotal role in creating stunning outdoor spaces. Your tasks will range from constructing fences, decks, and patios to laying pavers, building rock and retaining walls, and crafting water features and irrigation systems. You'll also be responsible for garden installations, which includes clearing and material transport and planting trees and shrubs. These tasks will be done while maintaining the equipment and ensuring job site cleanliness. Your ability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions, handle physically demanding tasks, and maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude will ensure that you are an integral part of our team.

Previous irrigation tech experience is a valuable asset, and you must hold a valid BC driver's license, have reliable transportation, and embrace the challenges of a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work-life-balance is very important for us. We are working a 4-day work-week from Tuesdays to Fridays with 10-hour shifts.

**OBJECTIVES**
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to construct fences, decks, patios, pavers, rock and retaining walls, water features, and irrigation systems with a high level of skill and precision
- Efficiently load, unload, and transport materials and tools while minimizing waste and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Proactively maintain all landscaping equipment, ensuring they are clean, in good working order, and promptly report any issues or repair needs to the crew leader
- Collaborate effectively with the team to assist in completing landscaping projects on time and within budget, including tasks beyond your primary responsibilities
- Maintain a consistently clean and organized job site, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and organization in both work areas and yard spaces
- Work seamlessly as part of a supervised team, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to team dynamics while also demonstrating the ability to work independently when necessary
- Exhibit strong communication skills by actively listening to instructions, asking for clarification when needed, and providing clear updates on progress and challenges to both supervisors and team members
- Strictly adhere to safety regulations and procedures, especially when working in various weather conditions or performing physically demanding tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
- Maintain a keen eye for detail in all landscaping tasks, ensuring the precision and quality of the work performed
- Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes or solve challenges on the job. Adapt to fast-paced, ever-changing conditions with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to getting the job done efficiently and effectively

**COMPETENCIES**
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of construction techniques and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Possesses a thorough understanding of math and geometry
- Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills
- Possesses an thorough understanding of the characteristics of landscape construction and has the ability to make plans based on that knowledge
- Ability to create, lay, and use concrete forms
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of and ability to use tools related to landscape construction
- Ability to use extensive knowledge to guide and act as a mentor for newer crew members
- Possesses a valid/active driver’s license

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical/vocational school program preferred

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- This job requires frequent bending, holding, and carrying weights up to 60lbs, as well as a variety of physically demanding tasks like kneeling, walking, stretching, and squatting for most of the day
- Ability to work with and operate hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and handle a variety of materials
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to work in extremely noisy areas

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
