ETSM Technical Services Ltd. is a custom manufacturing facility in Guelph that has been family owned and operated since 1985. We are a custom machine shop and manufacturer that offers a diverse range of technical services — custom machine design, machining, fabrication, welding, automation and process control, millwrighting, and maintenance.

We are looking for someone to fill a permanent, full time Purchasing position. You will be required to maintain communications with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met. You will work in a fast paced environment to assist team members to ensure that work is performed effectively and efficiently. Wage will be commensurate with experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Issue purchase orders
- Expedite materials
- Manage inventory levels
- Update raw material pricing in system
- Liaison between suppliers and production/engineering staff
- Resolve invoice discrepancies where necessary
- Receive materials in system from supplier generated packing slips
- Some preparation of quotations to customers
- Perform other duties/projects/reports as required

**Experience / Qualifications/ Skill Requirements**:

- 3-5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate level MS Office
- Highly organized and possess keen attention to detail
- Possess a positive and professional, solution focused attitude
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English
- Self-directed individual who requires mínimal supervision
- Capable of multi-tasking and able to prioritize
- Adaptable to ever-changing priorities
- Ability to read basic blue print drawings is an asset

**Salary**: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
