**About the Role**
**Key Responsibilities**
**Purchasing Duties**:
- Source and purchase materials.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on demand forecasting and company goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues regarding quality or delivery.
- Process purchase orders, track shipments, and coordinate with warehouse/receiving staff.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Manage inventory transfers to and from the branch locations.
**Inside Sales Duties**:
- Prepare and issue quotes, process orders, and follow up on customer requests.
- Develop a strong understanding of our product offerings to provide recommendations and support.
- Collaborate with the outside sales and operations teams to meet customer needs.
- Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and contribute to revenue growth.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inside sales, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with inventory systems is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry-specific products or services is an asset but not required.
