Metro Build Corp is a construction management company that has an opening for an Assistant Site Supervisor responsible to assist the site supervisor and construction team to oversee the finishing phase of construction of a 7- storey condominium building in Hamilton. The assistant site super’s main responsibility is to ensure all project plans, and schedules relating to are followed, and that the project is executed effectively and safely.

As an assistant site supervisor, you will contribute to our team by:
Working closely with the site supervisor and project management team by proactively identify, and resolves potential problems, work conflicts, or schedule challenges.
- Developing and implementing recovery plans and working with the project engineering team to anticipate and resolve project issues.
- Creating and influencing jobsite safety culture through mentorship and modeling.
- Effectively communicates with trades to ensure performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met. Oversees subcontractor coordination and progress.
- Liaising with site contractors and project management team to ensure projects are constructed as per quality, safety, and contract.
- Reviewing and understanding the contract and developing a plan that identifies and mitigates risk and maximizes opportunities to ensure that all financial targets, including budgets, forecasts and profitability levels are achieved.
- Understanding and actively managing client expectations, client project-specific success criteria, contract and managing relationships.
- Monitoring the progress and schedule of contractors.
- Understanding, communicating, and proactively managing contracts and documents.
- Other duties as required
- Maintaining daily and weekly schedules, monitoring trades progress on a regular basis
- Maintaining logs, daily reports, records and filing, quality control
- Review construction plans and shop drawings

What you will bring to this role:

- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in site supervision preferred
- Journeyman certificate or postsecondary diploma/engineering degree in a related discipline
- Gold Seal certification (CDN); certificate in negotiation or equivalent experience is an asset
- Knowledge of strong safety culture and communication skills are an asset
- Knowledge of computer software such as excel, word, Blubeam, MS Project, Autocad
- Strong organizational skills and written communication is a must
- Knowledge of and experience in the construction industry and company operations, including materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures
- Experience with diverse project types, delivery and construction methods, and sequencing and timelines
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- G2 license is required

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
