**Kennedy Ford** is looking for an automotive shop assistant. The main responsibility of this role will be transporting seasonal tires to and from our tire storage facility and ensuring all required tires are on site for reserved tire swap appointments, for the upcoming busy winter / summer tire season. Other responsibilities for this role will include but not limited to:

- Daily retrieval of tires from tire storage location for seasonal tire changes
- Loading and unloading tires in and out of company pickup truck
- Ensure that all tires required for customers have been labelled, retrieved for the day and promptly returned to storage by the next day.
- Assist with PDI of new vehicles including check in process.
- Install automotive and truck accessories
- Checking and adjusting tire pressures, re-torque wheels as requested
- Assist service advisors with requests as required
- Empty all garbage bins in and around the shop.
- Pick up all scrap metal and put in proper containers.
- Organize tire bin, garbage bin and cardboard bins.
- Organize all shop tools and equipment.
- Clean floors and any spillage, pick up garbage and rags throughout shop.
- Assist in keeping front parking lot organized and accessible for our customers.
- Pick up and deliver customer vehicles. (including Fleet)
- Keep parking lot free from litter, cigarette butts, etc.

**You must be be able to self-regulate your required duties effectively. You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs regularly, multiple sets of tires will be transported back and forth to the storage facility.**

**You must possess a valid G driver's licence during your employment with Kennedy Ford and possess/maintain a clean driving record.**

**You must provide a criminal background check at your expense prior to employment start date. (may have to operate Halton region police vehicles)**

**All new hires must show a valid proof of double Covid-19 Vaccination.**
