The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions and responsibilities for all facets of human resources as well as strategic initiatives for the continued growth of the organization. This role will be responsible for managing both the hands-on responsibilities of the HR function for multiple entities across Canada with expansion globally while supporting the leadership team and other key stakeholders for any needs. The HR Generalist is an integral part of our team providing operational and day-to-day support and strategic growth to the Company.
- **Responsibilities**_
- Provide HR support at all stages of the employee life cycle from recruitment, hire, and onboarding activities, including performing employee orientation, employee relations, and facilitating new employee training for all subsidiaries.
- Respond to employee HR-related inquiries with appropriate information in a professional and confidential manner.
- Strong understanding and compliance of employment labor laws.
- Support and collaborate with leaders on the Performance Review Process and workforce planning.
- Manage KPIs regarding the HR functions for strategic planning initiatives.
- Implement and uphold HR policies, procedures, and documentation within the organization in accordance to our Employee Handbook.
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Maintain all necessary documents in accordance with the law.
- Manage HR-related forms and SOPs for increased efficiency and workflow.
- Provide counseling to employees and managers on policies and procedures.
- Recommend and plan employee engagement activities
- Provide support with HR projects and assist other team members as needed in preparation for growth.
- Attend training courses as directed by the company to ensure knowledge and skills are current.
- Make recommendations on policies and procedures to support continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist and be the back up point of contact for all payroll, benefits, and leave of absence (such as STD/LTD).
- Support any projects or tasks as assigned
- Travel up to 10%
- **Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications**_

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree or diploma or certificate in human resources or a related field preferred

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of work experience in a human resource related role
- Experience HRIS systems, preferably ADP
- HRIS Implementation experience preferred
- Acquisition and Merger Integration or Change Management experience preferred
- General knowledge of employment and labor laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Holds and maintains an CPHR certificate preferred

- Strong work ethic, analytical skills, high level of accuracy, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to mentor, teach and guide employees and managers in HR related activities.
