ONE Transport Group, Alberta’s fastest growing Freight Logistics, 3PL and Courier company, is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, well-rounded Payroll/HR Generalist. O.N.E. Transport Group offers overnight (Overnight Expedite) and same day services (Black Dog Express) to over 550 cities & towns Alberta wide and an additional 120+ plants & sites throughout the province.
HR Generalist will report to the director of Policy and Governance.
Job Overview
The HR Generalist will undertake the full spectrum of HR tasks including payroll, administering employee benefits and crafting HR policies. You will help build and support a people-driven culture by ensuring consistency in HR programs and processes and you will also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Support the organization’s people culture by developing and implementing strategies for recruitment, retention, staffing, policies, and training and development.
- Accountable for all areas of Human Resources Administration.
- Ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of Payroll (Ceridian) and Benefits (manage programs including life, health, and dental insurance, vacation and leaves of absence including STD and LTD, WCB).
- Develop, lead, and support a variety of HR matters including a Total Rewards program; OHS program and Employee Wellness program that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Support employees while maintaining a strict level of confidentiality.
- Coach and support managers in all aspects of organizational effectiveness and employee relations.
- Create effective and consistent on-boarding program.
- Ensure compliance with all Employment standards.
- Work with the leadership and management to ensure consistency of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and support performance management; work with manages to set KPI’s and support managers on processes.
**Qualifications And Qualities of Applicant**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset
- 5-7 years of Human Resources experience, preferably experience in a small HR team or sole provider environment
- Expertise with full spectrum HR processes and practice.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, experienced in relationship building, team development and coaching skills.
- Computer skills using MS Office Suite and Databases
- Self-motivated, comfortable to work independently while maintaining a high-level of professionalism ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must be available for travel within the province, approximately 20% of the time.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
