JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you passionate about problem solving, maintenance and installation of complex CCTV, and Door Access Systems? The Technician role is for someone who is an experienced field service problem solver who prides themselves on attention to detail and great customer service. You will have a broad understanding of intricate CCTV and Door Access systems,and a strong knowledge of IT.

This is a key role for the company and holds responsibility to our customers so their business needs are met. You will be working closely with customers and internal employees alike.

EXPERIENCE:

- 3+ years field service and in-house remote support of IT and/or IP CCTV/Door Access or equivalent education experience

And/or
- We encourage ex-military personnel with an IT background.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installation and support: Field service and in-house remote service of CCTV, Door Access and IT networks
- Ability to proactively solve problems with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to understand customer needs and hold technical conversations with IT personnel and project managers
- Document all project data and asset management through online Service and CRM software
- Client support and testing/quality assurance of systems. Includes continuous testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Strong communication skills - Communicate with customers as well as internal employees on status of work
- Interest to learn and implement new products as introduced
- Act as a professional company representative when interacting with customers
- Compliance with licensing laws as well as health and safety regulations
- Participate in ongoing training as required

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong knowledge of IP CCTV, IT Networks, Win Server, Remote Setup and Diagnostics
- CPIC
- Clean Ontario Drivers License (G2 or higher)
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather
- Analytical problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools to properly install hardware
- College diploma in electronics or related studies is an asset
- Willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice from Kingston to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and occasionally country-wide (all out of town expenses will be reimbursed). Overnight stays may be required. A company vehicle is provided.

EDUCATION:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Post secondary education in the CCTV and/or IT or Electronics
- Bi-Lingual English/French is an asset but not required

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
