**Job description**
We, SmartVolt are looking to hire an experienced, full/part-time CCTV Technician. In this position, you will be working in our network of residential and commercial developers for wiring the various products and services we offer; security and CCTV systems, structured cabling and networking, home automation, A/V equipment, and custom home theaters. Working independently and as part of a bigger team, your primary responsibility will be rough-in services, service calls, installation, and finishing work.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate with clients to install systems on-site
- Respond to repair calls
- Read blueprints to determine the best path/method install the components and wiring
- Test all systems and troubleshoot any issues
- Teach the client how to use the systems
- Perform installations using company standards including cabling, mounting, and network setup
- Diagnose and repair installation issues
- Service calls
- Daily Reporting
- Create & Maintain a positive and professional relationship with the clients
**REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ontario high school diploma or GED certificate
- Technician certification
- Blueprint reading skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures
- 2+ years experience with CCTV, Access Control, Alarm systems
- 3+ years experience in residential construction (wiring and installation)
- Knowledge of Video Technology and Networking a definite asset
- Comfortable with working at heights (extension ladders, aerial lifts)
- Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction
- Valid G Ontario Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Clean criminal record
- Motivated self-starter
