**Position Overview**:
The City of Prince Albert is looking for an experienced HR manager that will contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture, attracting and retaining talented employees, and ensuring that our HR policies and practices are effective, efficient, and legally compliant.
In this role you will work closely with other departments and stakeholders, such as senior managers, union executives and legal advisors, to ensure that our policies and practices align with our collective agreements and our overall strategic plan and goals.
We are looking for someone with strong communication and leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and deep understanding of human resources principles and best practices.

The salary range for this position will be $89,257 - $119,862.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage and/or advise on labour relations issues, including representing the City in grievances, mediations and arbitrations.
- Represent the City and lead negotiations for a variety of collective agreements, including researching, developing proposals and recommending settlements.
- Conduct investigations into complex employee relations issues.
- Provide policy research and analysis for the development and implementation of new or updated policies, consistent with legislation, regulations and strategic direction.
- Provide trend analysis and recommendations to mitigate possible risks to the organization.
- Participate in and deliver training and education to employees and managers to promote positive employee relations across the organization.
- Provide oversight and direction to the Human Resources division

**Required Qualifications**:
Education, Training & Experience
- Degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or a related field.
- 5+ years Labour Relations experience in a multi-union environment.

Key Knowledge, Technical Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience of leading collective agreement negotiations.
- Strong understanding of human resources principles and common law standards.
- Knowledge of Human Rights and Labour laws in Saskatchewan.
- Knowledge of bylaws, policies and procedures specific to the City of Prince Albert.
- Knowledge of current OH&S standards and regulations.
- Ability to use a variety of computer programs, including database, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
