Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Communications and is responsible for creating and distributing content on EDW's social media, web, and blog channels, as well as for supporting strategic and corporate communications and media relations.

As a member of a highly engaged and creative MarComm team, the coordinator will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop online content, reports, speeches, and printed publications that highlight Winnipeg's advantages, and support our mandate to foster economic development for the city. EDW engages with diverse audiences including business leaders, travel media, tourism industry, prospective local, national, and international companies and visitors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS**
- Source, write, and post engaging content for blog platforms and websites;
- Assist with hosting tours and coordinating events; and
- Assist with communications and organizational tasks and duties as required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Knowledge in developing organic posts for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok;
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment;
- Affable, driven, and creative; and
- Bilingualism/multilingualism is an asset.

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications or marketing is required;
- Minimum of two years of experience in communications and social media management is required;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 products including Teams is preferred;
- Experience with CRM platforms is an asset; and
- Experience with photography and graphic design is an asset.
