**Overview**

**Duties**
- Research, appraise, and acquire used vehicles through auctions, trade-ins, private sales, and online platforms.
- Inspect and evaluate vehicles for mechanical condition, market demand, and resale potential.
- Negotiate pricing and purchase terms with private sellers, wholesalers, and auction representatives to maximize profitability.
- Maintain accurate vehicle acquisition records, appraisals, and purchase agreements.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance departments to ensure proper vehicle flow and inventory mix.
- Track market trends, pricing fluctuations, and high-demand models to make informed buying decisions.
- Ensure all purchased vehicles meet dealership standards for safety, quality, and reconditioning requirements.
- Assist in managing inventory levels to maintain an optimal stock of vehicles aligned with customer demand.
- Build and maintain relationships with auction houses, wholesalers, and private sellers to source quality vehicles consistently.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Used Car Buyer, Automotive Appraiser, or similar role within a dealership or automotive group.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, trim levels, and market values.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with digital vehicle marketplaces (e.g., ADESA, Manheim, TradeRev, Marketplace, Kijiji, etc.).
- Basic understanding of dealership management systems (DMS) or inventory platforms.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 44 per week
