We are currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team in our Burnaby office. This position requires a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a highly paced environment. Wilson M. We Help.** What You will do: - You will review bank transactions daily and enter payments in a timely manner, including: - EFT and wire payments (CAD & USD currencies) - E-transfer payments - Direct deposit payments - Credit Cards payments - Cheque payments - Financing and interagency transfers - You will process cheque deposits daily. - You will communicate professionally with internal and external parties to resolve payment discrepancies. - You will assist with staff expenses, including reviewing, entry, payment preparation, scanning, and filing. - You will enter online credit card information and other receipts. - You will reconcile client accounts as necessary. - You will reconcile interagency payments and settlements. - You will review direct bill commission deposits and allocate them to the appropriate brokerage. - You will provide support in other areas as required. Who You Are - You must have a Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting. - You have exposure to interagency and/or intercompany transactions. - You are familiar with trust accounting. - You can work independently while thriving in a team environment. - You must be comfortable at a fast pace, high-volume transactions while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy - You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adept at setting priorities. - You have strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. - You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - You can learn new software quickly. - You must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with high-volume transactions. - You are a problem-solver with innovative solutions for challenges encountered. - You can always seek opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining attention to detail. - You must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and third parties. - You are a team player with a "can-do" attitude, willing to contribute beyond accounting responsibilities when needed.
