**Accounts Receivable Clerk**

At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.

We are looking for a dedicated **Accounts Receivable Clerk** **(A/R)** to join our team.

**Position Overview**:
As an integral member of our Administration department, the Accounts Receivable Clerk manages all administrative functions related to accounts receivable, in addition to overseeing cash management practices. These duties includes statement generation, maintenance of accounts, resolving account irregularities, and ensuring accurate cash handling and close procedures.

The Accounts Receivable clerk collaborates with the sales and credit management team to address billing inquiries and provides helpful and friendly customer service. Additionally, the position provides valuable support to reception by greeting customers and answering phone calls, while assisting with general administrative tasks and other duties as needed.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Accounting certificate or other administrative certification is desired
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar administrative role, ideally in a retail or customer-facing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and perform reconciliations with accuracy.
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
