Torque Industrial Ltd. is looking to hire a motivated, experienced, safety, and quality driven **local to Grande Prairie, AB ** **Junior Quality Controller** to join our growing team in Grande Prairie, AB as part of a team of professional trades personnel.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receiving and shipping, fill out and track all necessary paperwork and materials in and out of shop
- Data entry (Microsoft Excel) experience
- Ensure proper weld mapping and visual inspections are complete
- Competent measuring skills
- Interpret and implement quality standards
- Maintain a high degree of communication skills able to communicate needs between quality control, management, and team
- Develop and recommend preventative activities to conform to Quality Management System
- Competency to perform multiple tasks
- Distribute quality control documentation to team
- Must be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Above responsibilities but not limited too

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Exceptional communication skills
- Proficient at report writing, reviewing, and interpretation of results
- Competency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work either dayshift/nightshift, alone or with team
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently problem-solve and tackle testing issues
- Able to handle multi-tasking and maintain focus in a busy work place
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 6 months of related experience in a Quality Control Role in structural steel welding and fabrication, weld inspections, field experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver Licence and Clean Driver Abstract.
