**Description**

This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for operating one of our laser cutting machines.

**Responsibilities**
- Represent Delta’s core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow Delta Elevator policies and procedures, Employee Handbook and Health & Safety Manual guidelines.
- Operate the CNC laser cutter.
- Program the CNC laser.
- Verify the parts to their drawings using the provided measuring devices.
- Deburr sharp edges.
- Move parts to next station.
- Do regular maintenance on machine.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklift, crane and pump cart.
- Keep area clean and well organized.
- Additional duties as required.

I**Qualifications & Skills**
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Mechanically apt (using hand tools, understanding of wrenches, hardware etc.)
- Physically capable (parts are heavy and need to be lifted and moved frequently)
- Able to attain forklift and crane operator licenses
- Experience with laser cutters is an asset **Ability to work as a team player and alone.**:

**Summary**

As a Laser Operator, you will be integral to our manufacturing process, utilizing advanced CNC laser cutting technology to produce high-quality components. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your role involves operating machinery, performing quality inspections, and ensuring adherence to blueprints. Your core skills in manufacturing and basic math, combined with premium skills in CNC programming and welding, will be essential for success. Additionally, your ability to operate forklifts and cranes, along with proficiency in hand tools, will support efficient workflow and heavy lifting requirements in our dynamic production environment.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
