**Job Summary**:
The Business Development Specialist is tasked to develop and grow our businesses within their assigned region. Their focus is to partner with their assigned sales executives to initiate opportunities for revenue growth and ensure that these opportunities become realized revenue. They will also be responsible for partnering with their sales executives in protecting and growing the strategic accounts within their territories. As a telephone-based representative, they will be making outbound calls as well as answer incoming calls and work with customers to sell them on our products and services. A Business Development Specialist must be passionate about what our company has to offer and truly believe in the overall vision of OHI. This excitement must come through on every call to guarantee that customers enjoy speaking to them and want to learn more about the company as well as different product segments and brands.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Partner with Sales Executives to grow overall revenue within their territories.
- Work with their RSD to grow open territories.
- Follow assigned cadence for outbound calls to assigned regional customers seeking to understand their needs and develop new sales, growth and win back opportunities within these existing accounts.
- Qualify leads from opportunities that are not presently an OHI customer (from Marketing) and assess value of opportunity. Once qualified, transition to appropriate sales rep to work through sales funnel or move back to marketing for further nurturing.
- Ensure continuity of coverage with Sales Executive territory’s
- Must enjoy being on the phone with the ability to turn regular conversations into revenue for the company.
- Ability to follow organizational standards to maintain quality, and guarantee customers receive exceptional service
- Advise prospective and current customers by answering questions and addressing concerns
- Maintain and update company systems with new information from every customer call, including ERP and CRM systems
- Provide weekly reports to Regional Sales Director
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Strong relationship management skills. Focusing on business relationship development and client loyalty.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communication across all levels within the organization as well as with outside resources.
- Ability to multitask and handle many outbound calls per day.
- Positive and patient
- Prior telephone sales experience
- Organized and ability to report on weekly activity
- High school diploma or equivalent; Higher degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- Previous medical experience and or experience selling to medical practitioners is preferred
- 1-3 years of demonstrated success in a sales position
- Experience with consultative selling within medical accounts
- Creative problem solver
- Strong self-motivator and team player
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Access to reliable internet
