**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking a **Mechanical Specialist**. Your role will involve:

- Reviewing equipment spare parts drawings for completeness and accuracy
- Interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders to determine scope, requirements, deliverables, budget, costing and schedules
- Working closely with project managers, designers & customers on large project spare parts quotes
- Maintaining customer databases and web-based customer catalogues
- Contributing to the design of improvements for existing products
- Releasing and reviewing designs with fabrication shops to ensure consistent design, fabrication and quality specifications
- Coordinating and interfacing with vendors on design and technical specifications
- Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the standardized mechanical parts library used by the design groups
- Participating in special projects
- Field customer calls and preparing customer quotes

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with an opportunity for international travel.

**What You Offer**
- An Engineering Technology Diploma or Degree
- 2 to 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced 3D modelling knowledge and design skills are essential
- Knowledge of material handling equipment is an asset
- Solid overall design, project leadership and communication skills
- A high degree of creativity and flexibility
- People oriented professional with a strong customer focus
- Experience with Microsoft Products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Familiarity with machining and fabrication operations as well as engineering design concepts, procedures and practices
