Director of Supply Chain

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Director, Global Supply Chain to support the rapid expansion of our electric drive system product lines.
You love technology, and have hands-on experience managing the supply chain of electronic components and contract manufacturers. This is an in-office position, not remote or hybrid.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Lead the supply chain team to develop a long term supply chain strategy worldwide
- Develop and execute a global plan for our manufacturing sites and customers
- Manage the production planning, procurement, inventory controls and distribution activities for delivery of products across multiple geographies
- Source and on
- board new contract manufacturers
- Manage commercial relationships with contract manufacturers to ensure high performance levels on material planning, production, product quality, safety, transportation, inventory, customer service, regulatory policies, and cost requirements.
- Analyze material requirements to support production needs, expediting as needed
- Use KPI’s to monitor performance (ie., inventory levels, buffer stock, material aging )
- Work with sales to maintain a production forecast to drive long lead time materials and manufacturing production capacity investigating price/availability/risk components
- Manage the performance and relationships of our global manufacturers to ensure timely fulfilment of orders
- Work with quality and suppliers to resolve material non-conformances
- Work closely with internal and external teams to optimize, assist with new and existing operations and processes
- Work with 3rd party logistics providers to optimize flow of goods between warehouses and customers
- Act as a member of the senior leadership team forging close partnerships with other team members
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with suppliers
**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management roles, with demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, integrated business planning and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience in the electronics industry required.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including negotiating contracts, MSAs, SLAs, etc.; previous experience purchasing IT, marketing, and corporate services a plus
- Ability to manage through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams and driving change management initiatives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability build trust and cohesion, and to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
