The Supply Chain Assistant will be in charge of working directly with our Supply Chain Manager and operations team to accelerate our production and inventory management in our manufacturing facility in Waterloo.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Supply Chain Management Assistant is responsible for coordinating the ordering and logistics for parts and supplies in the manufacturing of our products and works with our engineers and operations team to continue the flow of materials in and out of our shop.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Ordering parts from local and overseas suppliers and manufacturers
- Working with our Operation Manager in scheduling production and manufacturing based on the sales and needs of the business.
- Checking quantity and quality of parts as they come in and working with manufacturers to improve our products
- Working with our Logistics Coordinator after supplies have been ordered from suppliers to ensure they arrive in a timely manner and reduce manufacturing disruptions.
- Making decisions on when parts should be expedited and planning accordingly to reduce express and air shipment needs.
- Update and maintain parts and inventory through our MRP system
**Useful Skills/Experience**:
- Using Alibaba and other wholesale and marketplace platforms
- Reading engineering and technical drawings
- Producing purchase orders
- Analyzing sales and inventory trends
- Working with freight and logistics companies - as needed.
- High level of competency with Excel/Google Sheets
**Qualities we are looking for**:

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
