**Summary**
We are looking for a **Full-Time Bookkeeper** who is organized, has a great attitude, is a problem solver, and an accounting background. We are eager to find someone who would like to develop their knowledge and skills and grow within the company.
Your responsibilities will include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciliations. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
**Responsibilities**
- Payroll — process payroll, manage lieu time, sick time, and vacation days, assist with T4s, and ROEs
- Payroll accrual journal entries
- CRA, Employer health tax (EHT)
- Workplace safety and insurance board (WSIB) remittance
- Billings - initiating billing process, creating draft invoices
- Accounts payable - audit, approve, and pay
- Reconciliations - CAD and USD bank accounts, prepaid expenses, and RRSP accounts
- Reporting - assist with budgets, financial reporting, expense analysis, cash flow
- Month-end processes - amortization, general journal entries, revenue recognition
- Creating and maintaining accounting manuals
- Assist with FYE Reporting
- Assist with Safe Water Social Ventures (SWSV) events
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary bookkeeping education or proven bookkeeping experience
- Competency in MS Office, Microsoft Teams, and accounting software (QuickBooks & Projector)
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports (Excel)
- Accuracy and attention to detail and an aptitude for numbers
- Well-organized and results-driven
- Strong organizational skills, initiative-taking, and ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify problems and work with others to create effective solutions
