SJOC Construction is currently seeking a _Site Manager _to join our growing team. With a focus on high-quality work in residential and commercial sectors, the Site Manager will be responsible for all on-site activities. There are multiple positions available, which will be based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the surrounding areas.

**Responsibilities**

As a Construction Site Manager, your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Be responsible for overseeing one or multiple scopes of work on a construction project while performing all functions and responsibilities by the company’s values and beliefs.
- Provide overall construction management, including design, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, Owners, Engineers and Architects.
- Manage work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings, specifications and safety regulations
- Ensure the implementation of the Safety Program to create and maintain a safe work environment on the job site and adhere to the safety and record-keeping requirements
- Plan and implement schedules, determine workforce levels and material quantities, and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
- Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression
- Advise the Project Manager and senior management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
- Manage the work activities of direct reports and administrative documentation as required (safety, communication LEMs) in cooperation with appropriate departments
- Site Logistics (layout including trailers, access, & storage, erosion and sediment controls, waste management, etc.)
- Create Complete Daily Reports and complete weekly Safety Inspection report
- Participate in internal Quality Assurance audits
- Participate in Mechanical & Electrical Coordination Meetings
- Conduct Last Planner Meetings and Foreman’s meetings
- Site office set up (temporary power, water, heating)
- Conduct Safety and environmental-related meetings (i.e. Tool Box Talks, Joint Health & Safety Committee, Worker Trade Committee, etc.
- Supervise, direct, coach and train Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Field Engineers, Surveyors, Students, Hourly Foreman and Hourly staff assigned to project.
- Develop and maintain positive client relations (owner, clients, consultants, public)

**Qualifications**

We are seeking someone who has the following experience, skills, and abilities:

- + 5 years of Canadian construction site management experience
- Ability and knowledge to operate multitudes of construction tools
- Valid Driver’s License & working vehicle
- Site safety certifications
- Ability to read full-set construction drawings and clearly identify various members
- Great verbal and written communications skills
- Good understanding of the OBC & its impact on each trade
- Ability to evaluate & identify potential problems on site and to create workable options to rectify such
- Ability to use MS Office Suite products; Buildertrend knowledge is an asset
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with trades
- Ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Estimators and Designer

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

**Location**: Toronto, ON & GTA; reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**: Construction: 5 years (preferred)
