Bingemans is hiring a Full Time Facilities Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary**:
Assisting Facilities Manager in performing day to day tasks to ensure the overall safety, appearance and maintenance of all facilities within Bingemans.

**What will you be doing?**
- Perform general repairs, maintenance throughout all properties to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the structures remain in good physical condition
- Complete work orders assigned daily via phone app and general maintenance as per the Facilities Managers instruction
- General carpentry, changing door locks, closers, hinges, patch and paint walls
- Repairing & replacing floor tiles, ceiling tiles, window components and screens, washroom partitions, drywall and lighting
- General plumbing, repair and replacing faucets, toilets, urinals and snaking drains
- Full operating knowledge of machinery and power tools and pumps.
- Perform repairs to bowling equipment at Kingpin Bowlounge to ensure that the bowling facility is running at optimum performance
- Perform repairs to pool equipment at Big Splash water park to ensure equipment is running at optimum performance
- Assist in performing diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance associated with building systems, physical structures, plumbing systems, HVAC operation, electrical distribution and other various building systems.
- Assist in the inspection and repair of all buildings and outdoor facilities
- Assist grounds department with snow plowing as required
- Ensure compliance with all building and health & safety regulations
- Communicate with the Facilities Manager regarding all property maintenance and repair related issues and or concerns
- Provide a proactive approach to facility and building maintenance
- Ensure tools and equipment used are well maintained and stored appropriately
- Provide accurate and effective documentation and record keeping of maintenance tasks
- Work with team members including grounds department and contractors
- Abide by policies and guidelines that are defined in the Staff Handbook.
- This position requires a customer service approach in dealing with a wide variety of guests, employees and contractor issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**What We're Looking For?**
- OSSGD
- Three or more years of experience in the maintenance of residential building including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of associated building systems.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Knowledge of proper operations of power tools.
- Willingness to learn.
- Class G Drivers License
- Ability to obtain telehandler, aerial work platform, fall arrest, respirator and departmental training.
- High demand of physical work required physical stamina, endurance, and high energy.
- Exposure to dust, dirt and grease while performing various tasks.
- Must have strong organizational skills and time management skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
- Must demonstrate flexibility to do different tasks as assigned.
- Must be motivated and reliable.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to seek additional information as required.
- Ability to prioritize, memorize and multitask.

**Working Conditions**
- Shifts are generally 8am - 4pm, 5 shifts per week with 1 weekend shift per week.
- Hours can vary during peak seasons. Shifts can vary and can include days, some evenings, weekends and long weekends
- outdoor and indoor environment.
- Working at various heights.
- High physical demands.
- Working with heavy equipment, chemicals and safety equipment.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
