Junior Payroll Specialist

Our payroll administration department is looking to add and train a Full-Time, Permanent Junior Payroll Administrator to help their team immediately with
- Administering US and Canada weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple clients, including new hires/transfers/terminations/adjustments and ROE's through ADP system.
- Verifying all payroll information within ADP system on a timely basis.
- Creating, terminating, maintain and updating all employee files ensuring they are up to date at all times (data entry).
- Communicating through both verbal and written correspondence with clients to respond to all payroll inquiries in a timely manner.
- Liaising with ADP and payroll team on payroll related issues, special requests and payroll submission scheduling.
- Ensuring compliance with provincial & federal regulations for payroll taxes and other pay and benefit issues.
- Maintaining payroll records to facilitate audits and for ready access to payroll information.
- Assisting in year-end preparation, filing of T4's, T4A's, W2's, 1099's and all tax forms and government reports.
- Supporting the payroll administration team by completing other administrative duties as required.
In order to succeed in the Junior Payroll Administrator role and keep up with training demands for this position you'll need to:
- Be comfortable working with Microsoft Office on a daily basis.
- Have hands on experience with Microsoft Excel (sorting, building formulas, completing vlookups and programming/running macros, etc.)
- Consider yourself a fast learner who isn't afraid to ask questions
- Possess strong data entry / administration / keyboard and calculation skills
- Be able to compose yourself when stressful and time demanding deadlines approach
