Service Manager

Jiffy Auto Service is currently seeking a new full-time Service Manager to join our staff at our Kingston, ON location.
The Service Manager is responsible for day-to-day management, listening and taking note of our customer needs when it comes to the regular maintenance and/or repair of their vehicle; in addition to listening and taking note of the needs of our Service Advisors.
- Wage rate based on experience._
As a member of our staff the Service Manager will provide exceptional service to our customers, going above and beyond to guarantee each visit is an enjoyable experience, and will also:
- Welcome our walk-in customers upon their arrival
- Schedule service appointments
- Maintain a booking and staffing schedule
- Obtain comprehensive details on a vehicle’s symptoms and requirements and advise customers’ service decisions accordingly
- Prepare and relay work orders
- Rectify customer complaints/concerns in a courteous and professional manner
- Keep records of all customer interactions and transactions
- Other duties as required
- Knowledge/experience in a sales or customer service role involving automotive service (repair and preventative maintenance), tires, parts and accessories
- Outstanding sales expertise
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and delegate effectively
- Automotive experience/background (an asset)
- Automotive repair background (an asset)
- Tire knowledge (an asset)
- Bilingual (an asset)
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of tools and equipment
- Superior organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous management experience (an asset)
