We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Manager to support daily operations in Kingston and Ottawa to lead our growing team.

**Position Summary**

The Manager plays a key leadership role in day-to-day operations, including driver supervision, recruiting, training, and fleet coordination. This position requires someone who is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to step in where needed, including competency in driving motor coaches or other passenger vehicles.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified transportation professional looking to advance into a managerial role with meaningful responsibility and autonomy.

This is not a remote position. The position location is 566 Cataraqui Woods Drive, Kingston.

The work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 5pm with some on-call responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Operational Leadership**
- Oversee daily operations for the Kingston and Ottawa divisions, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service across all charter and contracted product lines.
- Serve as an **on-call** point of contact for operational issues, driver support, and after-hours emergencies.
- Support scheduling, dispatch activities, driver training and administrative duties.
- Manage driver schedules, review and approve time off requests to ensure fixed route coverage and optimal productivity.

**Driver Management & Development**
- Conduct on-boarding, mentoring, and performance support for drivers across all service types.
- Assist with or deliver **driver training**, including new driver on-boarding, refresher training, and contract-driver scheduling.
- Ensure company standards for professionalism, customer service, and safety are consistently met.
- Continuously review existing programs for process improvements that will enhance safety and compliance.
- Conduct post-accident reviews and interviews and take corrective action as required.

**Recruitment & Staffing**
- Lead or support the recruitment and selection of new drivers.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, road tests, reference checks, and pre-employment requirements.
- Participate in ongoing workforce planning to ensure adequate staffing for all contract shuttles and charters driver requirements.
- Mentor and lead team members, review performance and terminate employees if necessary.

**Fleet Coordination**
- Assist with fleet oversight, including reporting defects, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring vehicle readiness.
- Work with mechanics and fleet teams to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.
- Conduct spot checks, driver ELD checks and basic troubleshooting where appropriate.

**Compliance & Safety**
- Ensure adherence to all applicable OHS, MTO regulations, Hours of Service rules and internal safety policies.
- Participate in incident investigations, documentation, and corrective action planning.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, training, and operational consistency.

**Required Qualifications**
- Class **B*, or**C* license _required_ with **Z** Air Brake Endorsement.
- 3+ years experience in the passenger transportation industry.
- Ability and willingness to **drive motor coaches**(with or without passengers) or other buses as needed.
- Previous experience in transportation, fleet operations, school bus management, or a related field.
- Strong communication, leadership, and customer-service skills.
- Ability to remain on-call during designated periods.
- Comfortable working both in the office and out in the yard/field.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically MS Word & Excel.
- Hours of Service knowledge and experience as well as ELD experience with systems such as SAMSARA.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong judgment and decision-making skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in driver training or instructional roles (Z-Endorsement training, in-house trainer, etc.).
- Experience supervising staff in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of electronic logging devices, dispatch systems, and fleet maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of bus transportation legislation and requirements.
- Written and spoken French would be an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
