Based in London, Ontario, PHSS supports more than 400 individuals in more than 80 locations across Ontario, providing 24-hour residential supports, day and overnight respite, specialized complex medical care and intensive behavioural supports, recreational programs, and support for individuals living at home with their families.

**Summary**

PHSS is actively seeking a results-focused, highly collaborative **IT Support Specialist**to fill a **9-month contract** to provide support to staff while also assisting in additional projects and functions as assigned. Reporting to the Executive Lead, Corporate Services, the IT Support Specialist contributes to the functional goals of the IT department in providing quality technical support and customer service to the agency while also participating in infrastructure projects, system maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the needs of the agency are proactively and efficiently met.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with management of Active Directory and other systems as assigned by the Executive Lead, Corporate Services or designate
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of on-premise and cloud-based servers, ensuring they are secure, operational, and performing optimally
- Assist with the management of servers using approved tools such as Server Manager, ensuring proper configuration, monitoring, and updates
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks like system monitoring, reporting, and data handling using scripting languages as approved by the Executive Lead, Corporate Services or designate
- Collaborate on additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Executive Lead, Corporate Services or designate
- Providing hands-on support to users at all organizational levels
- Act as main point of contact for all technical issues and assist in troubleshooting and solving problems related to computer hardware, software, components, and network connectivity
- Research and learn new technologies to offer suggestions and input for usage or purchase decisions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with network, routers, and other systems
- Oversee database management including data entry and creating and editing reports and queries
- Collaborate with external service providers to support PHSS’s technological growth
- Provide strong IT customer service, technical support, and helpful responses to help desk requests
- Provide personalized training to users
- Stay up-to-date with prevailing technology options and monitoring need for maintenance and upgrades, submitting recommendations to Executive Lead, Corporate Services or designate

**Requirements**:

- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using Active Directory is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, TeamViewer, Windows 7/10, Microsoft Exchange, and Office 365 is preferred
- Experience with switching, routing, WAN, remote access, and VPN is preferred
- Experience with database structures and technologies, especially Microsoft Access, is preferred
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in IT related field/discipline
- Valid G/G2 driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle required
