We are a midsize manufacturing company that specializes on custom development of industrial machinery and components. Our company is headquartered in Cambridge, ON, and has over 30 years of experience serving clients on a global basis in providing high quality products, custom solutions, dependability and competitive pricing.

We are looking for a **Quality Technician** to be part of our Quality team. The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standard is realized at each phase of the manufacturing process; will be responsible for the day-to-day quality control functions, APQP, and related aspects including continuous improvement, issue resolution, preventative and corrective actions, product launch, Engineering Change Notice, etc.

**Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinate with Scheduling/Shipping release of product from pending, sub-contract, quarantine, and final release;
- Inspecting parts at incoming inspection, compare to requirements, and measure/document dimensional results;
- Ensure C of C’s are received as required;
- Verify that C of C’s match customer requirements;
- Prepare outgoing C of C’s for finished product, as needed;
- Assist QA team with inhouse activities i.e. sorting/re-work/assembly building or inspection;
- Maintain data collection regarding quality sample inspections;
- Maintain & document GP-12 inspection for new launch parts including dual tooled, dual sourced from China, India etc.;
- Perform floor inspection as required (first off, sample audit inspection, out-source release, final release);
- Prepares receiving inspection plans;
- ERP guidance, training, and support (especially as it pertains to the Quality function);
- Train inspection techniques where required;
- Train Quality procedures where required;
- Assist with corrective action investigations, performing root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting;
- Notify and issue NCRs;
- Prepare non-conforming product disposition;
- Responsible for calibration of gauges and inspection equipment (including completing gauge R & R studies, when necessary);
- Maintain and replenish Inspection tools as required;
- Program and maintain C.M.M.;
- Rework and prep various parts as per final inspection;
- Prepares PPAP documentation for submission, and/or assist in PPAP sample part inspection;
- Maintain quarantine cage;
- Create and maintain work instructions, gauging/calibration instructions, packaging instructions, etc.;
- Quality Alerts, issue and distribute (including posting & provide relevant training/instruction, as needed);
- Verify GDLS shipments with authorized stamp;
- Perform dock audits when required;
- Set up, monitor, and maintain Salt Spray test unit;
- Maintain records on findings;
- Operate and maintain MPI tester (and provide training when necessary);
- Support and participate in Accucam’s QMS & EMS ISO9001 & ISO14001 systems (maintenance, reporting, monitoring, procedures);
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas that are the responsibility of the QC department;
- Participate in Internal & External audits and all requirements of ISO 9001 and IATF when needed;
- Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or Quality Department capacity;
- Minimum Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma, QA Certificate, and/or equivalent work experience;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements;
- Experience in a CNC machining (turning and milling) manufacturing environment with knowledge of castings, forging and fabrications;
- Organized and detail oriented with a process mindset to spot variability;
- Strong work ethic and initiative - an independent self-starter;
- Ability to create and execute projects plans through to completion;
- Working knowledge of CMM operation and programming in PC - DMIS;
- Customer oriented - understands deadlines, works with internal and external customers;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Solution and problem solving oriented. Able to manage multiple projects;
- Proficient in Inspection Methods (Measurement & Evaluation), GD&T, blueprint reading, 8D, Pareto, statistical analysis (SPC), Proficient in Product Qualification Methodology (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, Control Plans).
