Medical Imaging provides clinical support to LHSC as well as the region on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Medical Imaging is comprised of the following imaging modalities: General Radiography, Fluoroscopy, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Molecular Imaging and Theranostics (formerly known as Nuclear Medicine), and Ultrasound. Combined the modalities employ approximately 335 staff that operate over 230 imaging devices and performs close to 400,000 imaging procedures each year. This works out to almost one imaging procedures every minute, every single day of the year.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the Radiology department including 50 employees at Victoria Hospital.

**Job Summary**:
**What the Role is**
Reporting to the Manager, Medical Imaging - Victoria Hospital_,_ the Coordinator, Radiography - Victoria Hospital is accountable for day-to-day department activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and networks within the team/unit and with other teams across the organization.
In partnership with Medical leadership, the Medical Imaging leadership team enhances the quality, safety and care experience for our patients. The Coordinator ensures their team and department operations are aligned with our mission, vision and values, while working together to successfully achieve our strategic objectives.
This role may be required to be on-call on a rotational basis.

**What You Will Bring with You**
- Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree program in a health care related discipline, Medical Radiation Technology preferred
- Registration in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), or the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OARMS) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in medica
