The Production Coordinator, Hardgoods will take on the day-to-day tasks, communicating directly with vendors, ensuring the production cycle is followed in a timely manner, facilitating the product development process, and ensuring Giant Tiger quality standards are met. Role will involve assisting in the sourcing of products for our stores and negotiating with vendors on various matters and ensure that the Giant Tiger vision is well represented in the end product. Giant Tiger Offers: - Giant Tiger Store Discount- Work Your Way Flexible hybridwork arrangement;- Profit Sharing- Health/Dental/Vision benefits;- LinkedIn Learning License Production Coordinator, Hardgoods - Role Specific Accountabilities: - Communicate and educate vendors on Giant Tiger direct import standards- Coordinate the product development cycle to ensure timeliness and deliveries are met- Process quotes, data and other related documentation- Track and monitor production, follow up with suppliers on samples and other related items- Review and action quality control reports- Communicate and negotiate with vendors to effectively and professionally resolve product and production issues Production Coordinator, Hardgoods - Key Qualifications: - 0-3 years experience in a similar role;- Great communicator, verbally and in writing- Experience working in retail/with products is preferred- Detail-oriented with a drive to "get it right" and use a solution based way of working- Time management, organization, and prioritization skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- A strong work ethic, enjoys working in a fast paced and adaptable environment- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products- Experience working and communicating with overseas vendors an asset- Experience in negotiating cost and quality an asset.
