Giant Tiger is adding a permanent full-time Production Coordinator to the Hardgoods Buying team

The Production Coordinator position is an ideal opportunity to use your experience in retail-ready merchandise and be directly involved in product development at all its stages. You will work alongside Global Sourcing and Category Managers to find items and negotiate manufacturing; communicate with vendor partners from around the world; collaborate with Designers on packaging; ensure that final products produced are to our standards and delivered on time. You will truly be in the center of it all in a vibrant, creative atmosphere at a one-of-a-kind company.

Production Coordinator, Hardgoods - Job Highlights:
- Work alongside Sourcing Manager in finding products from domestic and international suppliers- Work with Responsible Sourcing for social compliance and quality control standards from vendor- Create or validate quotes per approved costing- Log and track orders following import process to ensure on-time delivery- Work with Design Team to coordinate the total packaging process (focus on GT Private Brands)- Approve quality of samples in various stages of production- Review PO inspection reports for production accuracy, consistency and quality

Production Coordinator, Hardgoods - Key Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration (or related program);- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in retail (general merchandise experience an asset);- Strong computer skills - Intermediate Excel a must and AS/400 an asset;- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;- Ability to work with reports and make suggestions/recommendations based on available data;- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment;- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;- Strong communication skills to be able to interact with all levels of the organization;- Strong organizational skills;- Ability to prioritize and multi-task within time constraints;- French and/or Mandarin an asset;
