Position Overview:
The Engagement and Resource Coordinator is a passionate individual, responsible for direct service to clients as a first point of contact with Kindred, as well as providing resourcing to agency and community clients. This role provides administrative and clinical support through intake functions, including screening potential clients to determine fit for Kindred programs and facilitating their access to services. The Engagement and Resource Coordinator is trained to provide various intake and engagement duties across the organization.

The Engagement and Resource Coordinator will be a skilled customer service provider and resource specialist with experience in a mental health setting. Being able to work from a strength based and trauma informed approach is a key function of this position. This position is integral in providing pertinent information about all programming offered within the agency and the community at large. The Engagement and Resource Coordinator will demonstrate a strong awareness and commitment to Kindred philosophy and direction, by working collaboratively with external stakeholders to provide meaningful client service. There is an expectation of flexibility with hours and work location (hybrid) to meet client and organizational needs; some evening work required.

Key Accountabilities (job functions include but are not limited to):
**Client Serving**
- Timely response to all inquiries as the first point of contact to the agency, including client inquiries, resourcing, donation inquiries, marketing requests and external stakeholder requests.
- Assess the unique needs of clients to connect them to appropriate resources both internal and external to Kindred.
- Crisis de-escalation and suicide prevention, safety plan development, engagement in supportive listening to assist individuals dealing with various concerns.
- Support the booking and rescheduling of client appointments when needed in a timely and accessible manner.
- Trained on how to provide engagement and resource coordination and intake functions across services within the organization, working closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
- Reduce, where possible, geographic, financial and language barriers for clients, and place an emphasis on warm, genuine, trauma-informed interaction in accordance with the guiding principle of offering something of value to everyone who contacts Kindred
- Contribute to a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere for clients, students, interns, and staff, including providing consultation and some training opportunities.

**Administrative**
- Complete accurate and timely data collection and data entry in client database, maintaining complete client records of engagement.
- Utilize applicable measurement tools for monitoring service impact and reporting outcomes - Participate in publicity and marketing tasks such as resource and information fairs and sharing promotional materials.
- Maintain resource database and coordination of agency wide updates.
- Maintain working knowledge of current community resources that work to support the culturally diverse population served

**Collaboration**
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with community partners and other agencies within the sector.
- Work collaboratively with peers and supervisor to ensure service delivery is aligned and consistent with best practice, including participation in team meetings, live observations, agency meetings, training and supervision.
- Maintain critical communication with supervisor regarding any risk, program challenges, or program updates as needed.
- Positively represent Kindred with sector partners, donors, volunteers and other stakeholders, including on partner sites, at networking meetings, and community events

**Other duties**
- Participation in Agency initiatives, committees and events, and maintenance of organizational culture.
