For over 30 years, Econolease has led North America in restaurant equipment financing. Through leasing, renting, business loans, 0% financing and payment processing, we work with more than 3,000 restaurant owners each year, helping them achieve their goals throughout Canada, the U.S., and Australia.

**Overview**
This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable and payroll, as well as assisting with monthly account reconciliations, intercompany transfers, accounting entries and other tasks assisting in the growth and development of a strong accounting and finance department.

**Responsibilities**
- Payroll processing.
- Payroll tax and deductions calculation and filing.
- Extract and distribute reports to various departments on a daily basis
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Post invoices, employee expenses and other payables, accruals, and journal entries.
- Process payables and employee expense payments for all Econolease operating entities.
- Perform a variety of accounting entries for each of Econolease’s varying business units.
- Analyze and reconcile accounts to promptly solve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial data.
- Assess and test business controls and process improvement procedures to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all deadlines are met on time and in accordance with generally accepted standards.
- Confirm and abide by all internal procedures, policies and regulatory guidance.

- Quickbooks Online or comparable ERP systems
- Attention to detail
- Organization

**Experience**
- Degree or diploma in accounting (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Scarborough, ON M1R 4G2
