**About Us**:
Agriculture in the Classroom - Manitoba (AITC-M) is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring every student to understand, appreciate, and engage with agriculture. We bring agriculture to life in classrooms and communities across Manitoba, creating impactful learning experiences that connect students with the food they eat and the world around them.

**About the Role**:
We’re looking for **two energetic and motivated Program Assistants** to join our team for the summer. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agriculture and education, develop your skills, and make a difference in the lives of students and educators across Manitoba.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and delivering agriculture-focused programs and events.
- Support resource development for teachers and students.
- Travel to and represent AITC-M at community events and workshops.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless program execution.
- Provide administrative support as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Current student or recent graduate in agriculture, science, education, or any field of study.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for agriculture, education, or making a difference in the community.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Access to reliable transportation for attending events (mileage reimbursed).

**Position Details**:

- Full-time, temporary summer position.
- Contract period: April 28th, 2025 - August 22, 2025
- Compensation: Competitive hourly wage.

Restrictions:

- Open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents only.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to rural areas.
- All qualified applicants must supply a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search, and a cleared Child Abuse Registry Check, as conditions of employment.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
