About Sustainable Building Manitoba (SBM):
Sustainable Building Manitoba (SBM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting environmentally responsible building practices and sustainable development in Manitoba. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, SBM works to advance the adoption of green building standards and technologies, aiming to create healthier, more energy-efficient, and environmentally-friendly built environments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and execute outreach activities, including tabling at events, to maximize SBM's impact.
- Coordinate event logistics, problem-solving and adapting to challenges as they arise.
- Support the promotion of events.
- Develop tailored communication content for outreach efforts.
- Assist in updating and managing the membership database and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Identify and initiate contact with potential project partners.
- Possess a basic understanding of SMB’s work to provide better support for ongoing projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Pursuing or holding a degree of diploma in Communications, Information Technology, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in outreach activities, event planning, and customer services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in information management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Please note that this position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must meet specific criteria:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
