Project Coordinator Supervisor

Provide leadership to the Project Coordinator Team in coordinating the full life cycle of construction projects for the Door & Hardware Division, while ensuring an effective system and process are in place to maintain operational standards.
- Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures - with support from Manager and/or Human Resources.
- Meets operational standards by contributing information to operational plans and reviews; implementing product, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Meets financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions in cooperation with Operation Manager(s).
- Ensures effective execution of projects from bid stages to successful project completion by guiding the team of Project Coordinators and working closely with division/departments (Sales Manager, Sales Representatives, Purchaser, Warehouse Supervisor and Shop Supervisor).
- Effectively deploys staff resources for Project Coordination and the totality of the company as required.
- Completes administrative tasks relative to the oversight of Project Coordination, including but not limited to validating sales orders, shop orders and purchase orders, while ensuring timely execution of billing of all contract and non-contract sales in accordance with company guidelines.
- Assist and support Project Coordinators in the handling of the life cycle of construction projects for the Door & Hardware Division as a role model and to maintain schedule of work. This includes, but not limited to: project take-offs, estimates and quotes; transitioning bids into project fulfillment; Reviewing contracts, determining revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements; Coordinating purchasing for the assigned projects, including preparing product cut-sheets, templates, shop orders, liaising with vendors, and tracking purchases; ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Personally practices safe working procedures and adheres to safety regulations of the Ontario Occupational Health and safety Act, along with ensuring staff adherence.
- Interact with colleagues, customers and suppliers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Contributes to the overall team and company by performing miscellaneous job-related or unrelated duties as required.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-secondary education in the Construction Trade (2 year college certificate or diploma) or 4-5 years related work experience and/or training that demonstrates a complete or comprehensive understanding of project management.
- Computer literacy with experience relative to Microsoft Dynamics, MS Office products and a solid working knowledge in Excel.
- Excellent administrative and communication skills with proficiency in speaking and writing.
- Demonstrated leadership ability
