**About the Role**

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for driving accurate financials and effective cost management by owning the AP cycle, understanding company operations, and contributing meaningfully with a strong sense of purpose and belonging.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and revalue foreign currency accounts.
- Process and record Accounts Receivable transactions efficiently.
- Import large data sets into QuickBooks using SaasAnt for streamlined data entry.
- Understand operational and trust procedures to meet travel industry regulations.
- Assist with month-end closing and support project-related analyses.
- Provide financial and administrative support as needed for the team.
- Full Accounts Payable Management:
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts, including contact info, terms, and tax details.
- Track and record expenses from 8 company credit cards, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries, payment discrepancies, and account updates.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding balances.
- Verify, code, and enter invoices accurately in the accounting system.
- Reconcile AP aging to keep vendor accounts accurate and current.
- Process employee expense reimbursements in line with company policies.

**The First 90 Days**

By the end of the first 90 days, the Accounting Clerk should have a solid understanding of the company and its operations. They will have taken on month-end tasks and confidently deliver based on set deadlines.
- Orientation and Onboarding_ - Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's mission, vision, and values. Developing a solid understanding of the three operating brands, including their unique functionalities and processes, to ensure accurate and tailored accounting practices.
- Position Training and Development_ - Achieve a strong grasp of trust and operational procedures, progressing toward mastery to meet travel industry regulations. Independently completing month-end tasks efficiently and on time.

**Your Qualifications**
- You hold a degree or diploma in accounting or a related field
- You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
- You have basic knowledge of foreign exchange
- You have strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
- You have excellent communication and organizational skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- You have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- You are comfortable using technology to improve processes
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
