**Job Summary**

**Human Resources (HR) Student**

Under the direction of the Human Resources Partner, the Student will be responsible for performing a variety of routine HR administrative duties in a highly confidential and service-oriented environment to assist in the assigned day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
- Assist with administrative tasks including but not limited to scanning, data entry, maintaining accuracy, etc.
- Organize and maintain employee files and records in accordance with Hospital and Privacy Policies
- Create and label files/folders for new employees
- Archive files for terminated employees and help manage file storage
- Retrieve and copy files upon request
- Conduct research and analysis to support HR projects
- Run regular and ad-hoc progress reports, as requested
- Additional duties as assigned

**Job Specifications**:

- Experience with HRIS systems an asset.
- Strong adherence to confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Attention to detail and accuracy when data entering.
- Ability to learn assigned tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed routines.
- Research skills to undertake short term research projects and support the completion of information in the preparation of reports and correspondence.
- Must be service oriented and use tact and diplomacy.
