Job Description:
Product Supply Chain Planner (Corporate Planner, New Product Introduction) is the primary interface between Business Unit and the Manufacturing Supply Chain Organization. It has full ownership of the supply chain for their Business Unit and works strategically and tactically to ensure that the production needs of the Business Unit are met. The expectation is to work with both the Business unit and the contract manufactures with focus on go to market for new product offering. Foundational understanding Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), semiconductors and the overall SMT manufacturing process is indispensable. This is a Full-time, in-office position
Key elements of the Product Supply Chain Planner Role include:
- Manage new product introduction from feasibility to EOL, aligning supply chain strategies with engineering and manufacturing requirements. Focus on Go to Market and Production ramp.
- Proactively review new product introduction schedules based on standard mfg. LTs, driving quick-turn material planning, and supplier coordination to ensure on-time delivery.
- Host weekly meetings with Engineering, Project Management and Marketing, addressing changes to BOM (components, FW and test), schedules, supply status and representing Operations during technical discussions.
- Review and approve in Agile Bill of material such as passive and active components, mechanicals (heatsink, stiffeners, brackets), PCB Gerbers, firmware, test program releases as well as temporary deviations.
- Manage special build requirements, product conversions, re-work, and second source qualifications.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and lead times.
- Lead the end-to-end order life cycle, coordinating with cross-functional teams including Inside Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
- Understand of key Customers, market indicators, and geopolitical factors affecting the industry.
- Review and rationalize customer forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.
- Generate forecast vs. backlog analysis, booking LT trends, inventory turns report with recommendations to align the goals.
- Create the releases within the ERP .
- Create product sales and shipment forecasts.
- Provide Global Sales Services (GSS) with lead time quotes and new product introduction samples.
- Generate strategic supply plans that align with business objectives and manage inventory levels across the supply chain to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Resolve supply issues in finish goods and raw materials impacted by short order LT, upsides, quality issues, low yield, factory shutdowns, natural disasters, etc.
- Conduct root cause analysis of supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor bookings and billings.
- Proactively take steps to minimize delivery slips to OCD (Original Commit Date).
- Manage "Focus" customer list, driving quick resolution.
- Monitor unsupported revenue orders, and manage material pull-in to meet expectations.
- Monitor lead time scheduling and quotation issues to determine root causes and drive solutions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain metrics, inventory levels, and planning accuracy.
- Monitor planning system exception reports and taking action to ensure on time delivery.
- Ownership of part setup and maintenance including product build type and LT settings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance supply chain processes and systems. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.
- Manage End of life planning.
- Manage Last time buy planning.
- Act as a subject matter expert for supply chain processes and systems.
- Support process documentation and training as well as process optimization.
- Full-time, in-office position
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Electronics Engineering.
- A Master's degree or professional certifications like APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain planning within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process execution.
Hard Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems (BAAN, MSFT AX, Oracle), forecasting, and inventory management within the semiconductor PCBA storage industry.
- Product Data Management: Expert knowledge of Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management.
- Advanced Planning Systems: Expert Hands-on experience with advanced planning systems and supply chain management software.
- Data Analysis & Tools: High proficiency in data analysis with Tableau visualization tool, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Macros), SQL, Power BI.
- Supply Chain Principles: A deep understanding of core supply chain principles, including inventory management, demand forecasting, build planning, production planning, and logistics.
- Semiconductor Manufacturing and PCBA knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of the Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), semiconductors and the overall SMT manufacturing process is essential including components in the Bill of Materials. Experience in component, sourcing, bill of materials (BOM) management, and common manufacturing challenges is essential.
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Experienced in leading new product introduction projects, from feasibility to EOL. Focus on Go to Market and Production ramp. Creation of Gantt charts in Microsoft Project.
- Risk Management: Hands-on experience identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks and issues that could impact on time delivery and overall project time to market.
- Communication & Collaboration Platforms: High proficiency in using platforms like Microsoft Teams, Confluence, OneNote to streamline team communication and document sharing.

The annual base salary range for this position is $53,000 - $90,000.*
