Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Hyfluence is looking for a Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to lead sourcing and supply chain execution for our growing manufacturing operation. Drawing on your experience in industrial or technology manufacturing environments, you will take a holistic and strategic view to developing Hyfluence’s supplier base and will play the central role in maturing our internal procurement and supply chain processes and protocols.
**Responsibilities**:Supply Chain Management**:
- Ownership and development of supplier relationships
- Negotiation and documentation of supply agreements, pricing schedules and contractual terms
- Assessment of supplier capacity, risks, contingencies
- Planning for supply chain integrity and resiliency
- Development of inventory strategies such as vendor-managed or just-in-time approaches
- Tracking of cost reduction roadmaps across the supply base
- Sourcing alternative suppliers of components, engineered subsystems or subcontracted assembly services
- Developing and supporting internal inventory management systems
**Tactical Buying**:
- Materials planing and forecasting relative to planned manufacturing orders, working within Hyfluence’s MRP software system
- Placing, tracking and expediting purchase orders
- Coordinating freight and import/export as occasionally required for foreign supply
- Accepting, matching and recording/entering supplier invoices
- Occasionally supporting physical receipt of delivered goods, inventory placement and organization
**Qualifications**:
- Required: 5-10 years of supply chain and procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred: Certificate or designation in procurement and supply chain, such as ASCM CSCP
This role is located in our Burnaby, BC office, with minimum three days in-office and up to two days of remote work per week (based on a 5-day work week). The position could be structured as either 4 or 5 days per week.
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada long-term, and must reside within a reasonable commute of our Burnaby office.
