The general assistant, under the supervision of the management team, carries out various maintenance, upkeep and renovation work inside and outside the store.**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES*
- Perform light and heavy work (painting, moving furniture, replacing lights, etc.) for the maintenance, upkeep and renovation of the store;
- Act as a commissioner for the needs of the store;
- Daily housekeeping, including dusting, toilet and floor washing;
- Prepare the list of maintenance products required and, upon approval, arrange for them to be procured;
- Ensure that there is no shortage of supplies in washrooms or common areas for employees (eg cafeteria);
- Assist the warehouse when receiving merchandise or when there is a surplus of work;
- Wash windows of glazed entrance doors;
- Change burned ampoules and make sure they always have them in stock;
- Snow and deglaze exterior entrances to the building during the winter and ensure that sand or salt is spread;
- Respect occupational health and safety standards in the performance of their duties;
- Perform other related tasks

**SKILLS*
- High school diploma
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar function
- A valid driver's license in Quebec
- Skills with your hands and self-taught
- Strict care of health and safety rules
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy loads
- Ability to be proactive in carrying out task

*PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS*
Le quotidien d’un aide-général chez Aubainerie, c’est:

- Exécuter des travaux légers et lourds (peinture, déplacement de mobilier, remplacement de lumières, etc.) en ce qui à trait à la maintenance, à l’entretien et à la rénovation du magasin;
- Agir comme commissionnaire pour les besoins du magasin;
- Faire l’entretien ménager quotidien du magasin, entre autres, époussetage, lavage des toilettes et des planchers;
- Préparer la liste des produits d’entretien nécessaire et, sur approbation, s’occuper de se les procurer;
- S’assurer qu’il ne manque jamais de fournitures dans les toilettes ou dans les lieux communs pour les employés (par exemple : cafétéria);
- Aider à l’entrepôt lors de réception de marchandise ou lorsqu’il y a un surplus de travail;
- Laver les vitres des portes d’entrées vitrées;
- Changer les ampoules brûlées et s’assure de toujours en avoir en stock;
- Déneiger et déglacer les entrées extérieures du bâtiment durant l’hiver et veille à étendre du sable ou du sel;
- Respecter les normes de santé et sécurité au travail dans l'accomplissement de ses tâches;
- Exécuter toutes autres tâches connexes.
