Job Description: The overall mandate of the Network Analyst, NOC is to ensure the smooth operation of PATTISON Outdoor Advertising’s digital network infrastructure by collaborating with other members of the NOC, internal departments as well as third party partners and vendors. Part of the responsibilities are to monitor, triage, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents remotely, and to provide phone support to technicians working on digital signage equipment in the field.
This role requires the ability to creatively solve issues and have the desire to actively learn new systems as technology evolves. A large part of the position involves visualizing a problem that is not always directly in front of you, while the technician in the field acts as your eyes and ears. Attention to detail is key in documenting and analyzing information gathered during troubleshooting and problem solving.
**What you’ll do**
Monitor, triage, diagnose and resolve issues remotely
Field incoming inquiries and requests using a ticketing system
Clearly document troubleshooting steps and resolution using a ticketing system
Learn the equipment and infrastructure to full understanding
Coordinate and support technicians working in the field
Update technical documentation as needed
**Who you are...**
Intermediate Windows knowledge and troubleshooting
Basic Networking knowledge and troubleshooting
Basic Linux knowledge and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of remote monitoring tools (like Nagios)
Basic understanding of remote access tools (TeamViewer, PuTTY)
Basic knowledge of computer (PC) hardware
Basic understanding of display and video distribution technology an asset
Creative thinker
Attention to detail
A self-starter and independent learner
Keen sense of ownership
Ability to work and problem solve independently as well as part of a team
Ability to communicate and relay instructions in a clear and concise manner
Willing to work a 12:00PM to 8:00PM shift (either permanently or as part of a rotation)
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
