**Empowering people, Driving Success - Join our team at Donut Time** **You'll drive employee success, shape company culture, and make a meaningful impact on both people and organizational growth** **Job Responsibilities include**: 1. **Health and Safety**: - In charge of the health and safety program. - Reviewing health and safety procedures regularly. - Attending monthly meetings and inspections related to health and safety. - Leading SMETA Audit and ensuring compliance. 2. **HR Policy and Practice**: - Assisting in creating and implementing HR policies, objectives, and practices. - Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. 3. **Training and Development**: - Coordinating current and future company training needs. - Keeping records of each employee's training. - Conducting staff orientation including paperwork. 4. **Employee Relations**: - Serving as a point of contact for all employee related concerns and queries - Advising employees on policy, procedure, and program queries. - Identifying and resolving potential employee relations issues. - Assisting managers in retention, performance management, discipline, and absence management. 5. **Recruitment and Hiring**: - Supporting the recruiting and hiring process. - Establishing recruitment practices and procedures. - Creating and providing offer letters, contracts, employment verification, and termination letters. - Providing professional support on recruitment to managers. - Screening resumes, interviewing, shortlisting, and reference checking applicants. - Preparing job descriptions, person specifications, and employment agreements. - Collaborating with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and participating in interviews. **6. Onboarding & Offboarding**: - Onboarding new hires on Spire - Conducting exit interviews to gather feedback, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improving employee experience 7. **Project Management**: - Scheduling and coordinating projects. - Handling special assignments from management. **8. Employee Engagement and Recognition**: - Running events to foster employee engagement and morale. - Organizing activities such as "Employee of the Month" recognition and "Pizza Day" events. - Implementing initiatives to boost employee satisfaction and retention. **9. Payroll Management**: - Overseeing payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Handling payroll-related inquiries from employees. **10. Benefits & Leave Administration**: - Overseeing employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other perks - Managing vacation requests and leave of absences - Communicating with the managers and employees regarding return to work **11. Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities**: - Dealing with Ministry of Labour (MOL), WSIB and other regulatory bodies. - Ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and standards. - Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and updating HR policies accordingly. - Managing audits and inspections from regulatory agencies. **12. Support for Change Management**: - Assist in navigating organization changes, such as restructuring or process updates, by providing resources and clear communication to employees **Skills Required**: - Minimum 3 years of experience working in a similar capacity - Working experience in a food industry is preferred - Bachelors degree in HR or related field - CHRP or equivalent certification - Strong knowledge of Labour laws and HR policies - Excellent verbal and communication skills - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills - Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency in HRIS systems - Advanced MS Office skills **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $75,000.00 per year Schedule: - 8 hour shift **Experience**: - Human Resources: 3 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: - CHRP (preferred) Work Location: In person
