**Job Summary**:As a Junior Estimator you will perform various functions in providing quality support to a senior or lead estimator. The majority of your work will be in an office environment with some visit to a construction job site environment, this will be dependent on projects and work assignments. This role may require travel to various job sites.

**Responsibilities and Duties includes but is not limited to**:

- Responsible for estimating tenders and RFQ review.
- Review all project data and documents such as reports, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
- Work independently and with other estimators to collect and prepare accurate project estimates.
- Coordination of subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Forecast project completion.
- Prepare detailed billing breakdowns on successful projects.
- Identifying bid opportunities and visiting project sites.
- Learning software for bid reviews and to assist Senior Estimate.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Superior planning and organizational skills combined with the ability to work under pressure on multiple and competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- 1-2 years of estimating experience.

**Physical & Psychological Working Conditions/Requirements**:

- The work is performed in an office environment which requires long periods of sitting and use of computer screens. Minimal lifting, bending and crouching required.
- This work may also be performed in an On-site environment
- Deadline pressures, stress of multi-tasking, communicating and interacting diplomatically with clients, supervisors and co-workers in regards to responsibilities, job progress, issues are demanding aspects.
- Respect, honesty and sound work ethics are important attributes.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and focus on day to day activities and interactions required.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
