**JOB** SUMMARY**: The Tourism Administrative Assistance is responsible for coordinating tasks and providing support to leadership to ensure the growth and sustainability of Six Nations through the Tourism Industry. Central to this, will be acting as the “champion of the visitor experience” and ensuring that the Tourism is making a substantial contribution to an increasingly positive visitor experience. The Tourism Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting with the relationships with key government and industry relations partners and focuses on influencing the development and delivery of public policy and planning initiatives that support and drive Tourism as well as liaises with strategic partners. The Tourism Administrative Assistant will work within the policies and procedures established by the Six Nations of the Grand River.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields.

OR
- High school diploma with additional qualifications in office administration and proven 1 to 5 years' experience as an administrative assistant or a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Power point, Google Workplace and Word.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy practices.
- Must pass a police record check.
- Willingness to learn, accept change, and adapt to innovative ideas, business concepts, and cultures.
- Flexible (extra hours may be required on occasion).

**PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION**:

**KEY** DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Administrative Support**:

- Perform all administrative duties.
- Book and reserve facilities and facilitators for tours, meetings, or events.
- Manage and maintain the Senior Managers schedule, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
- **Communication**:

- Provide tourists with information about local events, accommodation, transportation, and attractions.
- Greeting and assisting visitors in the office.
- Communicating internally to ensure smooth efficient operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
- Communicate updates and status reports to the Leadership Team.
- **Document Management**:

- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for physical and digital
