**The Position**
We are piloting an innovative program to address and improve issues of social disorder and community wellbeing in our BIA with a four-month initiative which has the possibility to become permanent in 2026. To support and drive this initiative we are hiring for two positions of Outreach Navigators.
**Outreach Navigators** provide linkages, connections, and resources to businesses within Stony Plain Road BIA to assist in issues and effects of social disorder. The Outreach Navigators are a small team that is both proactive and reactive within our community, primarily businesses, to work to create a community that is a unique and attractive destination for businesses and customers alike.
The position(s) are based upon a 35 hour work week with four active days on business and street work and one day of administration, training, and /or learning. The position will involve walking or rolling to the area of our BIA and engaging with businesses and community members. The primary client base for this work will be our over 550 businesses within Stony Plain Road. This initial four-month position will be reviewed in winter 2026 with a high possibility of extension afterward. Rate of compensation will be between $21-$23/hour.
We are seeking two individuals who like people and working to build vibrant and inclusive streets. You will be an excellent listener, a problem solver, and a compassionate and clear communicator.
**Experience**
Previous experience or training in project coordination and customer service is required. An understanding of vulnerable communities and de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches are important. Additional training is provided and we are desiring to find individuals to assist in guiding and growing this initiative long term.
**To Apply**
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
