Business Development Representative

DTC Newsletter is a fast-growing marketing newsletter, delivering actionable insights to over 150,000 DTC marketers and brand founders.
Our model is built upon the core values of Alignment and Transparency, which means that, unlike traditional newsletters that win by selling off their subscribers, we win by delivering content that drives significant value.
Alongside our small team of writers, educators, and marketers, we need a Business Development Representative to support our partnerships team, achieve our goals, and work alongside an amazing team.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- 1+ year of experience in a BDR/SDR role, preferably for a media/SaaS company (or a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in marketing, business, or communications).
- A self-starter mentality with a strong sense of ownership, an appetite for learning, and a passion for sales.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish authentic relationships rooted in a solution-oriented mindset.
- Understanding of the eCommerce and/or technology (SaaS) industry, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Fluency in written English with strong communication skills.
- Bonus: Experience with CRM software (especially Hubspot) and proficiency in sales prospecting tools (e.g., Apollo).
**ESSENTIAL QUALITIES**:
- Proven ability to influence through solutions-oriented sales tactics.
- Comfortable communicating with contacts ranging from management to C-suite levels.
- Ability to independently identify new account opportunities and the right contacts.
- Attention to detail and organization to tackle multiple projects and manage a high volume of target accounts.
**THE DAY-TO-DAY**:
- Book a quota of qualified discovery calls between target accounts and our Sales Lead.
- Provide a world-class prospect and solutions-oriented customer experience.
- Keep records and track sales activities, customer interactions, and project management.
- Provide reporting and feedback to the Sales Lead highlighting wins and roadblocks.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in our process.
- Support the development of sales marketing messaging to existing and potential leads.

We put out five issues on a weekly basis, full of fully actionable education about traffic platforms like Meta Ads, TikTok, and Google, as well as more strategic topics like CRO (conversion rate optimization), product strategy, and more.
