Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society is looking for a Communication and Social Media Assistant who has a passion for social media, education, and wildlife rehabilitation.

As a social media assistant, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our organization's views creatively. You should also be interested in wildlife rehabilitation, human-wildlife coexistence, and the charity sector.

You'll be able to work remotely and on site with our dedicated social media, events, education, and marketing team to assist with all our social media platforms.

You should be creative, enthusiastic, work well in a team, but also work well on your own with limited supervision. You must be self motivated and very detail oriented.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with video and photo documentation of all our patients during exams, treatments, releases etc
- Creating content in collaboration with our staff on all platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogs)
- Photo and video editing
- Assisting with online and in person events
- Assisting with fundraising events
- Blog writing
- Administrative assistance
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications/Requirements/Assets**:

- Proven work experience as a social media manager
- Organized
- Hands on experience in content management
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
- Knowledge of all online marketing channels
- Familiarity with web design and Canva
- Excellent communication skills
- Good creative writing skills

Applicant must have access to a device to capture high quality photos and videos.

Full time (under the Canada Summer Jobs Grant)

Wage $16/hr
